Yes. Akhirah Islamic Center & Memorial Grounds is exclusively for Muslims. Membership is open to Muslims only. This ensures that every member of this community is served in full accordance with Islamic standards, and that the integrity and sanctity of this space is preserved for generations.
Yes. Members may dedicate multiple memorial spaces at the time of registration. Each memorial space requires its own $500 membership deposit and is subject to the same pricing and payment terms.
Akhirah maintains a network of trusted imams who handle every aspect of the process — from transportation and ghusl to the Janazah prayer and the day of burial itself. When the time comes, simply contact us and we will connect your family with an imam who will guide and coordinate everything. Your family will never be left navigating this alone.
Absolutely. While Akhirah provides access to a trusted network of imams, families are welcome to arrange their own imam if they prefer. All we ask is that the process is conducted in full accordance with Islamic standards as upheld by Akhirah Islamic Center.
Yes. At the time of opening, members will have the opportunity to select their preferred location within the memorial grounds. Every memorial space is clearly labeled and laid out in an orderly fashion, allowing families to choose a location that feels right to them.
Yes, with one important note. All flowers placed at memorial spaces must be purchased directly through Akhirah. This ensures the grounds remain uniform, beautiful, and equal from one memorial space to the next — a reflection of the values Islam teaches us about equality and humility. Personal sentimental items and decorations from home are welcome alongside the flowers. In order to maintain the cleanliness and high standards of the Islamic Center and Memorial Grounds, any items left at a memorial space will be carefully collected after five days and placed in a secure lockbox on the property. Families are welcome to retrieve those items at any time during visiting hours.
Yes. Akhirah offers a wide selection of flowers in various colors and arrangements available for purchase directly through us. Once purchased, we will place them at your loved one’s memorial space on your behalf and send you a photo confirming they have been laid. It is our way of ensuring your loved one is remembered beautifully even when you cannot be there in person.
Yes. On Akhirah’s grand opening day, every member will receive official legal documentation confirming that the memorial space is theirs upon fulfillment of their payment. Once your memorial space is fully paid off, you will receive your final ownership certification confirming complete and total ownership. Your place within Akhirah Islamic Center is legally protected and documented every step of the way.
Yes. Memorial spaces at Akhirah are transferable. Should your circumstances change, Akhirah Islamic Center will facilitate the transfer process and ensure all proper paperwork is completed and filed accordingly.
Akhirah Islamic Center & Memorial Grounds is open for visitation seven days a week from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Members and their families are welcome to visit, reflect, and remember at any time during these hours.
Yes. The masjid at Akhirah Islamic Center is open to the public. All are welcome to pray, reflect, and gather within its walls — not just members. The masjid is a living, breathing part of this community and its doors are open year round to anyone who wishes to enter.
If a payment is missed, members will have 15 days to make up the missed payment. If the payment is not received within that period, a second formal notice will be issued providing an additional 15 days to resolve the outstanding balance. Failure to make payment by the end of the second notice period may result in the forfeiture of your memorial space and all prior payments made toward it. We strongly encourage members to contact us immediately if they anticipate any difficulty with a payment — we are a community and we will always work together toward a solution.
Yes. Members are welcome to pay off any remaining balance at any time with no penalties. Early payoff eliminates any further compounding of the annual 3% charge, so paying sooner always works in your favor.
