About Akhirah

Built for This Ummah. Rooted in Faith, Dignity, and Permanence.

Akhirah was created for Muslim families in New York as a permanent place for worship, remembrance, and Islamic burial without compromise. Every memorial space faces the Qibla, every process follows Islamic standards, and the on-site masjid serves the community for Janazah prayer, daily worship, and gathering throughout the year.

New York’s First Islamic Center & Memorial Grounds

Akhirah is built around Islamic practice from the ground up — serving Muslim families with a place entirely their own.

Qibla-Oriented by Design

Every memorial space is Qibla-oriented by design, so families never have to request, negotiate, or wonder about alignment.

Masjid at the Heart of Community

The on-site masjid is a permanent home for Janazah prayer, daily worship, reflection, and year-round community gathering.

Officially Approved

Approval on April 21, 2026 gave us New York's first dedicated Islamic center & memorial grounds, which has now begun construction.

Why Akhirah Exists for Muslim Families in New York

A Place Where Faith Is Never Compromised

New York is home to one of the largest Muslim communities in the country, yet Muslim families have long faced painful choices when arranging a final resting place for their loved ones. Many were forced to travel out of state, settle for grounds not designed around Islamic requirements, or negotiate basic matters of faith during the most difficult moments of their lives. Akhirah was created to fill that gap permanently.

It is more than a memorial ground. It is an Islamic Center built to serve the community from worship through remembrance, from daily prayer to Janazah, from family visits to long-term care. Akhirah exists so that when the time comes, families can grieve with peace and trust that everything has already been prepared with faith, dignity, and care. Akhirah is being built with intention for the Muslim community of New York — a place that belongs to this ummah, serves this ummah, and remains protected for generations to come.
